8. My spreader poles are sticking after use. Is there anything that can be done to help fix this? 

Yes,

a. The oil film on the poles gets worn off over time. Try applying a light coating of lubricant such as WD-40.

b. When the poles slide up and down sometimes burs will form. If this happens you can separate the poles you are having difficulty with and take a fine file or fine sand paper and deburr the pole/s and then apply a light film of lubricant.
